BFI Golf Tour Rules for 2022

  1. At time of registration Tour Players must have a valid USGA GHIN Number to qualify for the NET Division Championship.
  2. Due to limited access to the courses, golfers who cancel confirmed play dates (2) or more times, will be disqualified from becoming a finalist in the flight of the Tour Championship and risk not completing their three rounds. All make-up/ re-scheduled rounds will take place at Newton Golf & Country.
  3. The BFI Commercial Real Estate Tour is conducted under the rules of the MGA (Metropolitan Golf Association) and the USGA (United States Golf Association). The USGA (WWW.GHIN.COM) system is used to calculate and record player's Index and Handicaps and establish the Tour's final Net Division participants.

"For rounds that are terminated due to weather or darkness, once 12 holes are completed, the player's handicap will be applied to the final remaining holes for the round’s total score."

  4. In the event of a tie occurring in either flight, at the conclusion of regularly scheduled rounds, an 18-hole play-off will be held to determine the finalist.
  5. In the event a player qualifies for both the Gross and Net finals, their Gross standing takes precedence and they will play in the Gross Flight finals.
  6. All hosting sponsors have the cooperation and understanding of their respective clubs. In the event a tour player arrives after the agreed upon meeting time, the hosts and other guests will tee-off as scheduled. The players who arrive late may join the foursome already in progress but will be disqualified from becoming a finalist in either flight.
  7. Cell phones and all electronic devices are not permitted on the BFI Golf Tour. Please note that such devices may not be displayed on your person.
  8. Occasionally, tour participants will accommodate BFI by serving as the 4th golfer when we receive a last-minute cancellation. Scores from this “bonus round” will not qualify for the Low Net or Low Gross Playoff.
Exception: If a tour participant is unable to complete his/her (3) play dates by Friday, September 2, 2022, the score from his/her “bonus round” will qualify.
  9. NO REFUNDS.
